[A poem by Mr. Samudrala Harikrishna titled ‘All and Nothing!’.]
Into the closed confines of a Prison
Descended the ultimate Light, in Person
Into the darkness pervading all Around
Krishna-the Nothing, the All and the Beyond!
***
Bubbly Yamuna, besotted Gopi, all Believed
To them, just only to them, he Belonged!
He was for all, he was for none, the Effusive
He was in it, he was out of it, the Elusive!
***
Wafting in the air came the musical Note
The nature lost itself in the spell of his Flute
He played, he danced, the Joy-Incarnate
It was pleasure, it was pain, a design so Ornate!
***
A beloved so possessive, no one to Compare
A warrior so versatile, few dared to Stare
A statesman so far-sighted, none any Near
A friend so giving, pauper turns a Millionaire!
***
Preceptor he was sure, just showing the Way
Proscriber he wasn’t, loathe to have the Say
To strive is your duty fret not about the Fruit
Each to himself he declared, as for his Route!
