How Natural!

[A poem by Mr. T.S.S. Murty titled ‘How Natural!’.]

A child always desires to play with children
The youth tags along with young brethren
Adults do mingle with their parallel picks
And retired people will to be with their mavericks!

A rich fellow wouldn’t love to be with the poor
A person in position wouldn’t be with people lower
People with stardom wouldn’t like obscureness
And artists wouldn’t enjoy surrounded silence!

How would it be for a teenager to get his deferred bike
After he receives the applause for his eighth hike?
How would it be to take up round-the-world tour
When somebody has just crossed sixty plus four?

Time and place pertinence is a subtle ploy,
Later, even if the cage is open, can the bird fly?
