Man and the Mirror!

[A poem by Mr. Samudrala Harikrishna titled ‘Man and the Mirror!’.]

Not man enough to see his own Face
He avoided it and strutted, shorn of Grace
Cowardice concealed, he spread Terror
Only to stray one day, in line a pretty Mirror!

The sound could be heard many a Mile
The Mirror all splinters now, loathing his Guile
Not game enough to bear his Visage
The index for his deeds at once Savage!

Mute though, a mirror has a throbbing Heart
Rejoicing a nobleman’s presence, in it’s Court
Writhing in pain when the guest is Crooked
It fails to gather, crumbling in a trice Shattered!
