[A poem by Mr. Nanduri Ramachandra Rao titled ‘The Dream Seller’.]
Somehow I became one in nature;
I told one day to a man,
“Don’t worry Man,
You will surely get some food tomorrow”
Asked He, “From Where?”
“Don’t know, but you will.”
My words helped Him survive the day in hope,
but to no avail;
The next day again I was more positive and persisting
but His fate was same;
On the morrow as I approached He said
“Go tell it to the birds,
Tell them there are enough grains around.”
That evening He passed away to the ethereal world.
I stayed positive though,
reasoning with myself,
that my words gave Him two more days of life;
Never did I feel bad with the title I was bestowed with,
‘The Dream Seller’.
