[A poem by Mani garu titled ‘Just Wait!!’.]
I want to come to you,
With sweet melodies made for you
Just wait!
I am making love with the words,
With all the passion and warmth,
With all the tender gentleness.
Just wait!
They are still enjoying the
The passionate warmth of my embrace,
Trying to make a soft musical rhythm!
Enjoying the moments of love,
They don’t want to be disturbed!
They are trying to make magic out of them!
While hoping to make sweet melodies,
Working to add different beautiful colours,
They lost in ecstasy!!
Waiting for them.., to weave a mellifluous song
out of that ecstasy!!
Just wait!
I don’t want to drag them,
out of their happy silent beautiful moments,
Though, I am eager to reach you with their sweet melodies!
If I force them to come out,
may they stumble upon the colours, spread them around,
Dropping them menacingly everywhere!!
May they pull the strings off unknowingly and get hurt
Thus breaking the melodies!!
I, then may stumble upon distorted weird colours,
cacophonous sounds!!!
Make a fool of myself, before you!
With my words get hurt,
having been dragged savagely!!!
Then how can I reach you?
I stand ashamed with guilty,
Not knowing when they get healed!!..
‘Will their wounds heal?!
Can I have my love with words back?!’,
Keeping my fingers crossed,
I have to further wait,
To reach you with sweet melodies!
That’s why,
Just wait!
Let me make love with my words!!!
